Almond Grove Bed & Breakfast is located at Stacey Studio Gallery and within a short walk to Antique and craft shops, restaurants and coffee shops.
Almond Grove is in an early settled area of the town, with narrow lanes and many old stone cottages. The home’s return-style design echoes features of early buildings.
As the name suggests the home’s cottage garden is within an old almond grove with numerous trees that blossom in late winter. The nearby creek ensures abundant bird life.
Stacey Gallery is an artist's run gallery space at 17 Harriet Street, Strathalbyn (off North Parade), South Australia; 50 minutes drive south of Adelaide.
Almond Grove is the home, gallery & artist studio of art Helen Stacey.
Visitors have an unique opportunity to meet the artist in her home, gallery and studio, discuss the work and ideas behind her work and view works in progress. A range of paintings, prints (framed and unframed), sculpture, cards, jewellery and silks are on display. Works by Malaysian Islamic feminist artist, Sharifah Zuriah Aljeffri, and other artists and crafts people are frequently available for purchase. Refreshments are offered to visitors on arrival.
The gallery is open most days. To ensure meeting the artist it is advisable to phone or email to make an appointment.
