Fleurieu Region Broadband Demand Aggregation Project

This six-month project is aimed at aggregating the demand for broadband services across the Fleurieu Peninsula and develops an expression of interest for the provision of broadband services for all homes and business across the Fleurieu Peninsula regardless of location. The project goals are to: · Create the demand · Accept registrations of interest from homes and/or businesses · Map the demand · Develop and release an Expression Of Interest for the provision of broadband services across the region · Select best response/s · Work with Broadband SA for implementation of broadband project National figures suggest that some 78% of all homes have at least one computer and of that number 80% have Internet access; approximately 90% have or would like access to affordable broadband services. This project is sponsored by Fleurieu Regional Development, the State Government (through the Broadband SA initiative) and Alexandrina Council, City of Victor Harbor and District Council of Yankalilla. SA Works in the Region ESF 3 year Strategic Plan

Regions at Work is the centrepiece of South Australia Works, with learning and work programs being planned and delivered to assist individuals in their local area. Through Regions at Work the Employment and Skills Formation directorate of the Department of Further Education, Employment, Science and Technology, will provide support to local partnerships to meet the needs of the region.
