1. Managing Your Business Through Stormy Weather

This Better Business Series workshop focuses on practical strategies and actions you can take in your business to help get through the recession. Experienced facilitator, Brenton Leitch of Learning and Productivity will present this informative workshop on Wednesday 25th August from 6pm - 9pm. Venue: Wirrina Cove Resort, Cape Jervis Road, Second Valley. Cost: $15 p/person (incl gst) Light supper will be served. Bookings are essential. Fleurieu Region Broadband Demand Aggregation Project

This six-month project is aimed at aggregating the demand for broadband services across the Fleurieu Peninsula and develops an expression of interest for the provision of broadband services for all homes and business across the Fleurieu Peninsula regardless of location. The project goals are to: · Create the demand · Accept registrations of interest from homes and/or businesses · Map the demand · Develop and release an Expression Of Interest for the provision of broadband services across the region · Select best response/s · Work with Broadband SA for implementation of broadband project National figures suggest that some 78% of all homes have at least one computer and of that number 80% have Internet access; approximately 90% have or would like access to affordable broadband services. This project is sponsored by Fleurieu Regional Development, the State Government (through the Broadband SA initiative) and Alexandrina Council, City of Victor Harbor and District Council of Yankalilla.
